Green Smoothie

Every morning, before breakfast, I make the following smoothie for my family (serves 2-3 persons):

1 small medium size apple;

1 small banana;

2-3 types of green leaves (3/4 of your blender);

1 full table spoon of natural honey;

1/2 tea spoon of propolis or 1 table spoon of bee pollen;

juice from 1/2 of a medium size lemon;

1 and 1/2 cups (1/2 pint or 300ml) of pure water.

Switch the blender on a slow speed until all the ingredients sink and then blend them on a maximum speed for 2 minutes.

Tips:

–  While my blender is working, I peel the apples for the oat meal porridge and add the peel to the blender that is blending my smoothie, so that I do not have to throw away the apple peel.

–  I do not use spinach or kale because of oxalic acid in them that hinders the absorption of nutrients from other ingredients. Please, refer to the list of ‘eligible’ greens that I use for my juices.

–  The model of the blender that I use for my smoothies and raw soups is Silent Mixx by Bosch (700W).
